Since 1987 Ron has worked as a consultant to small business,
non-profits and faith communities. His focus is on facilitation, leadership and management development, organization development, systems thinking and problem solving and training development. Ron also is experienced in project management, information technology evaluation and curriculum design, and as a small group facilitator and counselor. Ron began his tenure on July 1, 2002, as Consulting Executive Director at Disability Awareness Ministries, Inc., where he still serves. He has served on several non-profit boards and in addition to being the Board Chair for MFA. |

Jenny Breen is a professional chef and nutrition educator in the Twin Cities. She has been working with issues of local sustainable food for over 20 years and is also working to develop more access to healthy food and nutrition education for all people. Paul Burkhouse has been a board member since 1999. He is co-owner of Foxtail Farm CSA and farms full-time south of Osceola, Wisconsin. Paul received a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1997. In addition to actively farming for his living Paul's interests are focused on the education of new farmers, development of sustainable farm management practices, and adding value to farm products. |

Marilyn Grantham is a University of Minnesota Extension retiree who was born and reared on a small farm in Ohio. She was involved in the development of Extension educational programs and staff development for 20 years in Minnesota and previously for 8 years in Virginia. Marilyn has worked as an agricultural communicator with the Economic Research Service, USDA. Her educational background is in agricultural economics/marketing and adult education, she has program evaluation and grantwriting expertise. |

Dr. Bud Markhart is a professor in the Department of Horticultural Science at the University of Minnesota. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental physiology, plant propagation, organic production, and advises the Student Organic Farm. His research focuses on the acclimation and adaptation of plants to a hostile fluctuation environment, with emphasis on the role of the root system in plant adjustment to water and temperature stresses. Dr. Markhart is a member Organic Advisory Task Force for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. |
