Minnesota Food Association invites members to become volunteers. We have numerous volunteer opportunities available and as our capacity grows, so will these opportunities.
Some of our volunteer opportunities are seasonal and others are year round. Most opportunities are Monday-Friday, with some occassional evening and weekend work.

Event Volunteer: Help to plan and execute fun and effective events on the farm. Spring Open House and Fall Harvest Party - 10 hours of planning and then the event itself. Some volunteers may participate on the day of the event but not in the planning.
Workday Volunteer: Make a committment to attend each of the workdays and lead a team on a project at each workday - about 5 hours on the months of workdays.
Board of Directors and Committee membership: Our board is made up of volunteers and can often use some fresh, new and competent energy. Let us know if you are interested in this.
Farm Tour Lead Volunteer: Assist with farm tourse, get to know our program well enough to assist with school grouops and other groups that want a tour of the farm. Spring and summer/flexible hours. Tours are usually three to four hours in length.
Speaker's Bureau: help make presentations to church and community groups to spread the word about our good work. Year round/flexible hours.
CSA Newsletter/Recipe Coordinator: Help prepare and email the weekly newsletter during the CSA season. June - October, three - four hours/week. Can be done remotely.
Partnership Volunteer: Assist MFA with various partnership obligations. About 30 hours/year, sometimes from home and some meetings in the twin cities.
Volunteer Coordinator: Become the lead on recruiting, screening, orienting, scheduling and tracking volunteers. Plan to spend about 7-10 hours a month on a flexible schedule for this position. (This position is currently filled.)
