FAQ

"A CSA box is not for me, but how can I support your work?"
If CSA just isn’t your thing, please check out two great alternatives:

1.  Donor Shares   Donate to MFA
Help support MFA’s Agricultural Training Program. As a Donor Share member you will receive all of the same benefits of Veggie Box members including the weekly newsletter from the farm, monthly newsletters from MFA’s Executive Director, Glen Hill, donor recognition on our website, an invitation to all Big River Farms events. Your donation is also tax-deductible. Choose from preset options or your own level of support.

2.  Harvest for the Hungry
Your dollars will be matched 100% by the Emergency Foodshelf Network and used to purchase produce from farmers in our agricultural training program. Food shelf users will enjoy fresh, healthy greens and vegetables. Your donation also is tax deductible. Everyone wins!

"Too many veggies for one, are there other options?"
Our Summer’s Best Boxes are fit for 2-4 adults depending on your eating habits and needs. Regrettably, we are unable to offer a small/half share option. If you think a full share might be too much, we encourage you to find a friend, relative or neighbor to split your box with. In past years, members have split boxes each week as well as alternating weeks – both styles have been successful. If you do not have anyone to split with, we can assist by connecting you with other members at your neighborhood dropsite interested in splitting a share.
