Micro-Farming

Micro-Farming is a term that is slowly catching-on around the country; a term that best describes Community Gardening “on steroids.” What Community Gardeners do, Micro-Farmers do, but on a larger scale, with produce going both to provide food for their family, and to sell at markets.

At the Agricultural Training Center@Wilder Forest, we provide MicroFarmers up to an half an acre (depending upon availability of land).

Workshops are provided to MicroFarmers to introduce them to such topics as Farm Safety, Risk Management, Crop Record Keeping, Farm Planning, and Farm Financial Management.

"We abuse the land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect."
